Safe, Compatible Home-sharing for Adults 50+

FAQ
How does Senior Village Hub work?
SeniorVillageHub connects homeowners who have a spare room with mature adults aged 50+ looking for a calm, compatible place to live.
Take Janet, for example. Her children have moved out, leaving her with a beautiful home and a few empty bedrooms. She loves her neighbourhood and her community, and she would prefer to stay where she is rather than move somewhere smaller.
Instead of downsizing, Janet chooses to share her home with someone at a similar stage of life. Through SeniorVillageHub, she can connect with potential housemates, meet them socially, and decide who feels like the best fit for her home and lifestyle.
Once they’ve connected, all rental arrangements are agreed directly between the host and the tenant.
SeniorVillageHub simply provides the trusted place where the right connections can begin.
How much can I earn / How much should I charge?
This is entirely up to the Host and Co-living Tenant to settle. This of course depends on the size of the room, location, going rate, etc. The space listed by the Host also states the monthly charge. Any paperwork and signing of contracts are done off site and are the responsibility of the Host and Co-living Tenant.
Do I have to hold a social event to find a tenant?
The Host doesn't have to hold a social event. If that's not your style, then you can engage or interview potential tenants as you see best.
Can anyone hold a social event for the purpose of, well, socialising?
Yes, of course! The platform is there to connect us. Simply find the relevant group (Village Social Club) and post your event. However, only events specifically made to connect hosts with suitable tenants will be promoted on our Events Page.
How long is my Host Membership for?
Host membership is for 12 months. This gives the Host access to the Host Only Groups and ample time to plan events and arrange meetups. After the Host membership lapses, they are then more than welcome to continue with free membership on the site.
